I am an artist living and working in London and in my work I explore themes of memory and location. I do this often in collaboration with others, I make videos, sculptures, prints, exhibitions and also write. In April 2012 I undertook a Gasworks International Fellowship, researching with Vasl Artists’ Collective in Karachi, Pakistan.
My current video project Throwing Up, Pulling Down is being produced whilst as artist-in-residence at SPACE studios, London, as part of their Permacultures programme, which explores the shaping of contemporary experience through technology. In early 2013 I completed a PhD at Anglia Ruskin University. My practice is increasingly involved in examining alternative educational models and artwork’s relationship to audience.
I took part in the Wysing Arts Centre’s 2012 retreat, ‘Space’s of Attentions’, undertaking workshops thinking through alternate pedagogic processes. I have additionally been a guest artist for Aid&Abet’s recent residency at Kettles Yard, Cambridge and have taught in Pakistan at IVS School of art and architecture.
